Dr. Watkins is a full time relief veterinarian in the state of New Jersey. She grew up in North Jersey and holds professional veterinary interests in emergency medicine, surgery, sports medicine/rehabilitation, behavioral medicine, and integrative/alternative medicine.
Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Watkins gained experience working as a veterinary technician for four years and volunteering at a local animal shelter.
Dr. Watkins earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Marine Science from Stockton University in 2016. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Watkins graduated from Saint George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in January 2024 Magna Cum Laude. She would later go on to work at a large emergency/specialty hospital prior to transitioning to full time relief work.
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the National Association for Black Veterinarians.
Beyond her dedication to veterinary medicine, Dr. Watkins enjoys exercising, basketball, chess, hiking, traveling, and being a foodie! Her home is shared with Franklin, a red-eared slider turtle, and Kisa, a domestic short-haired cat.
Dr. Watkins currently holds active veterinary and DEA licensure in the state of New Jersey.
